ColderICE eCommerce Blog: First Michael Jackson and Now eBay LIVE?!?

I LIKE IT! I think that after coming back from the EBAY RADIO event in Las Vegas a few weeks ago MR.BIGFOOT can declare SMALLER is BETTER! One of the things I liked about the small event was the ability to connect and chat with so many people sellers, EBAY folks and vendors too!

As much as I loved all three EBAY LIVE's that I attended, this change represents a better way to bring MORE people to an EBAY event. Travel to most major venues for a LIVE is burdensome for many financially. Sounds like lots of interested sellers will be able to visit one of these events without having to take their shoes off for homeland security.

BRAVO EBAY--Great idea! Think I will vacation in Orlando this winter (Mr.Bigfoot was dreading August in Florida anyway)

    I love this line....

"sellers will be able to visit one of these events without having to take their shoes off for homeland security."

    LMAO, thanks for the comment!

I was also at the eBay Radio event and smaller is better (insert any 'size matters' joke here). I think it is the first sane idea eBay has had in a very long time... I don't think it will make a difference, but it is the best idea I've seen come from them in a very long time... Hopefully they'll have cheaper drinks at the bbq's though... $9 a pop was hard to take at the radio event... lol...

As a developer I'm not so positive on this. With eBay Live there was one event where you could meet all the sellers. Now if you attend one event you only see a small fraction of them. The smaller developers really lose out on this.

That is a GREAT take and a perspective that I could never have come up with from the seller view. Wow, you are right it does make challenges for small developers. You point out one of the possible many unintended consequences of the move to local. Thank YOU!
