I understand that...but whats good for the buyer doesn't always have to be at the EXPENSE of the seller. Besides...my point was they did it to make their lives easier and more profitable not to protect you me or anybody else but Paypal. Sure if everyone gets ripped off it hurts us too....but Paypal wasnt thinking about YOU OR Me or THE FANS when they announced that message - AIm pretty sure it was more like they were thinking , "all those people used our service to PAY for the tickets! - OH NO WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?" Not "oh...the poor fans! Lets get all their money back for them so we can protect them! Yea MJ and his fans!" (sorry if that got a little too sarcastic)

Re: eBay & PayPal Step UP To The Plate: Protecting Michael Jackson Fans!

I agree with BOTH comments here. And that is not really a diatribe either way. Yes, I agree this helps Paypal/eBay but that in my opinion does NOT discount the fact that it is a capability that is IMPORTANT for transaction security.

We are SELLERS and what is good for us, is NOT necessarily good for buyers and vise versa. But if all things are equal, this is GOOD for a buyer. And if the buyers feel secure, ultimately it is good for us by default, even if we hate it.

john

Re: eBay & PayPal Step UP To The Plate: Protecting Michael Jackson Fans!

Sorry...its nice and all but I have a long way to go before I believe Paypal protects anyone but Paypal. Think about it....

This move to refund everyone who paid I believe helps Paypal more than it helps each individual. Its easier to globally announce this instead of having to address each one case by case...again...it helps Paypal more than it helps anyone who bought a ticket, so once again Paypal is covering its rear all the while trying to convince us all they are actually dong US a favor. Uhmm...That being said.....my Mommie always said "if you cant say anything nice don't say anything at all"...so...I'll shut up now, Bye Ya'll.

Re: eBay & PayPal Step UP To The Plate: Protecting Michael Jackson Fans!

Anyone who paid for an online ticket purchase with WU or a MO needs a mental competency exam.

Being cynical I see instant refunds for buyers and sellers will wait for their refunds. Check your bills item by item!
