    I think you should call him by his preferred name. It may sound like a trivial thing but it's not to him. My name is Peggy and I do not accept people calling me Peg (except my baby brother). ...And the next time I see you, don't even go there. My homeboy, Alton, was called "Roach" when we were growing up. He doesn't want us referring to him that way and I practiced until I stopped...and I let others from home know it too. The point is, call people by what they prefer.
